Policy and dates
- Policy on attendance Students are required to
attend all lectures. The penalty for unexcused absences is:

Quizzes will usually be on Friday, and will usually be given back
within the week. Missing a quiz, or failing to collect one, each
counts as an absence. The student is asked to bring to class a kit of
coloured pencils, which will be used in tests and quizzes.

The score on the final will replace the lower score on partial exams
if the student is in good standing, meaning: not more than two
unexcused absences, and, if applicable, a score of at least 50% on the
practice partial tests.

Exams are in class. Exam material is usually announced in class.
Exams are comprehensive. Dates and topics supersede any
information found in the general syllabus.
