Policy on attendance   Students are required to attend all lectures. The penalty for unexcused absences is:

2-3 absences:	grade penalty
4 absences:	F on the course

In addition to regular quizzes, I will give pop quizzes. They are the means by which I record attendance. Students may switch to another section only in an emergency; you are allowed to do this twice during the semester. Beyond this allowance, a grade penalty will apply.

Make-up examination: for those students who missed one of the midterms: May 17.

I will have extra office hours on Friday May 20, 3:30--6:30. May 20 is the deadline to collect your partial exams without grade penalty.
