Policy on attendance Students are
required to attend all lectures. The fare is:
<= 2 absences:
4 points credit (out of 100)
5-7 absences:
grade penalty
8 absences:
F on the course
There will be unannounced quizzes. In addition to giving the
student the incentive to study on a continuous basis, they allow me to
sample attendance. Missing a quiz, or failing to collect one, each
counts as an absence.

Exam material is cumulative: each exam bears on all topics studied so
far. The score on the final will replace the lowest score on partial
exams if the student is in good standing, meaning: not more than three
unexcused absences.
