group discussion. To benefit from this, come prepared. I will
therefore indicate which topics to prepare; check this list often, as
it will be updated continually.
First period: Aug 16 -- Aug 30. Topics: vector products, differentia-
tion of vectors, gradient and directional derivative (see homework ).
Second period: Sep 5 -- Sep 20. For Sep 10: exam material. For Sep
12-13: section 6.7. Sep 17-19: sections 6.8, 6.9. Sep 20: add
6.10.
Third period: Sep 24 -- Oct 8.
Fourth period: Oct 10 -- Oct 22.
Fifth period: Oct 24 -- Nov 8.
