You may collect your homework on Tuesday May 20, between 14:15 and 16:15 in M-312 (where I will be giving an exam) or in my office between 17:00 and 19:00.
Topics
Partial differential equations and boundary-value problems: Laplace equation, heat equation, Laplace equation in a cylinder, wave equation and vibrating string, vibrating membrane, integral transform solutions of pde.
Functions of a complex variable: Analytic functions, contour integrals, Laurent series, residue theorem and calculus of residues. Application: evaluation of definite integrals.
Probability and statistics: axiomatic setting, probability theorems, methods of counting, random variables, continuous distributions, binomial distribution, normal distribution, Poisson distribution.
